The origins of the company go back to a woodturner’s workshop, which was founded as a family enterprise in Zurich in 1889. That original company has evolved into the modern-day Girsberger, a furniture manufacturer headquartered in Switzerland with production and sales companies in Germany, France, Benelux, Austria and Turkey. The company group is managed by Michael Girsberger who is the great-grandson of the company's founder.
