Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC NE) with its Headquarters located in the Baltic Barracks in Szczecin is a part of the NATO Force Structure. The NATO Warsaw Summit confirmed MNC NE to be operationally capable to fulfill Readiness Action Plan tasks: • Commanding the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) and NATO Response Force or their elements if deployed in the north-eastern region of NATO; • Operational Control of the four NATO Force Integration Units in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and soon Slovakia and Hungary; • Monitoring the security situation in the region; • Being a regional hub for cooperation and coordination of military activities. Being in the transition process to Headquarters of higher readiness, its first command elements can be deployed for missions within less than 2 weeks in the north-eastern region of NATO.
