We are Rise. We bake goods. And we do good. We are based just off Brick Lane. We honed our trade selling cakes to local businesses. Wholesaling it up if you like. We sell some of the best brownies, fruity breads, loaf cakes, and quiches going. Everything is seasonal, so the menu changes four times a year. And after a couple of years we decided to start selling online too, after popular demand. What makes us even better, is that all our cakes are baked by people who used to be homeless. We train them up to help them find work and get their confidence back. We source products locally where reasonable and have a roof garden, so are starting to grow stuff there too. We do our bit to look after the environment (no big nasty delivery trucks, minimal packaging). And use fruit and veg as much as possible. So all in all, you get a guilt-free treat. And socially motivated gifts and treats are pretty in right now, so it's a sure-fire winner all round. We’re part of a great charity – Providence Row. Based in the East End for 150 years, we empower people. Help them find housing, but then to stay in it too. We tackle the root causes of homelessness (substance misuse, mental health) and get people on their feet and into work again.
