THE TEA HOUSE opened at 15 Neal Street, Covent Garden, in 1982. It’s purpose was to sell tea in all it’s varieties together with herbal and fruit infusions and a selection of tea pots and other items used for the service of tea. The shop, packaging and signage were all of modern design and quite different from the very old fashioned surroundings in other tea houses and department store food halls which seemed at that time to concentrate on aristocratic connections, Royal Palaces, Edwardian...
