Ecclesall Pre-school is based in Room 2 of Ecclesall Parish Halls on Ringinglow Road, Sheffield. Sessions run Monday-Wednesday from 9.15am-2.45pm and Thursday-Friday 9.15am - 12.15pm for 38 weeks per year (school term-time). The Pre-school has been operating since 1969. It is managed by a voluntary management committee and is inspected by OFSTED. Our last OFSTED report in May 2015 found the provision of Early Years Education to be Good with some Outstanding features. There are a maximum of 26 children per session with a high ratio of staff to children. Children can attend pre-school from 2½ until the age of 5. The children have access to a large playroom where most of the activities take place. Weather permitting the children play outside every day in one of our two enclosed outdoor areas. Children’s toilets and washbasins are adjacent to Room 2. We have good links with local infant schools. Ecclesall Pre-school was awarded the Sheffield Charter for Quality in Early Years in July 2012.
