An 18 hole parkland golf course located off Buxton Road the course was founded in 1913 and features natural water hazards. The greens are laid to USGA standards allowing members and guests to enjoy playing on them for 12 months of the year without a temporary green in sight. The Swiss chalet style clubhouse, provides a spacious lounge bar, members' bar with snooker and card tables, spike bar which overlooks the 18th green and first fairway, and a large balcony, ideal during the summer months for sitting out and watching players complete their rounds. The restaurant offers an extensive selection of freshly prepared dishes to suit all tastes and occasions from a la carte to tasty hot or cold buffets. Throughout the year many special events are held at the club, including gourmet evenings, cabaret nights, social events and private functions.
