Provides facilities for recreation, leisure and education for Chesham and neighbouring areas. Our policy is to offer use of premises at very competitive rates with commitment to continue doing so as part of its service to the community. Is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO - CC Reg No.1168816) Based in White Hill School - an iconic Victorian School Building (C1890) Managed by unpaid Trustees and Volunteers, supported by a small team of paid staff Is independent and self-supporting, receiving no regular funding from local authority or government funds Regularly used by over 60 groups, clubs and societies, as well as businesses and charities Has a membership of nearly 500 people In a typical week, over 1000 individuals use the facilities Income is from room rentals, commercial rents, centre activities, membership fees and donations. For long-term survival of our Victorian Building we need to raise £50k pa over the next few years from sources other than our operating income. The Centre is a two-storey building with a lift to the first floor Rooms are available for hire that will accommodate between 12 and 150 people with kitchen and bar facilities. There is disabled access throughout building and facilities for the hard of hearing Provision of accommodation to locally based community organisations.
