Colchester High School in Wellesley Road, Colchester was established in 1882 and is Colchester’s only independent school and nursery for girls and boys from 2½ to 18 years. Our Early Years department provides a safe and happy start to a wonderful education through Lower School, Senior School and on to Sixth Form. We are delighted to have many siblings at various stages of their education with us which contributes to the family atmosphere. We pride ourselves on our outstanding pastoral care and small classes, which enable us to get to know our pupils very well as individuals. We aim to ensure that each child is happy and settled and therefore able to achieve his or her academic potential. We have several Open Mornings throughout the academic year, but visitors are also welcome at any time that suits them to see the school in action on a normal school day.
