Welcome to the Maddermarket Theatre in the heart of Norwich City Centre. Situated in the Norwich Lanes (Winners of The Great British High Street) it boasts a vibrant programme of plays, musicals and other events created in-house, as well an extensive programme of touring theatre, live music, comedy, talks and much more. The theatre has a team of professional staff who support the work of its many volunteers, both on-stage and behind the scenes. It is also home to the Mad Red Theatre School, who provide classes, workshops and other training opportunities in the art of theatre-making. Within the year-round programme of performances and events, we present a different play each month, created by our own directors, actors, designers and technical team. Our newly-refurbished Redwell Maddermarket Bar provides a warm welcome for our patrons with an extensive range of craft beers, specially selected wines, spirits and soft drinks, as well as range of coffees and teas.The Theatre has one of largest collections of costumes in the region, which are available for hire. There are a number of opportunities to get involved at the venue, from helping on the box office, to behind the bar, up in the wardrobe department or backstage, we'd love to hear from you.
