Glasgow Botanic Gardens is a place of beauty, tranquility and contemplation. As a botanic garden however, we are also so much more. We aim to demonstrate to all our visitors that the plants on display here are the air we breathe, the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the medicine we take. Through education, interpretation and the enormous diversity of our plant collections we hope to inspire in visitors a desire to know more.
