Ogólne informacje
Flash in the Attic (FiTA) emerged in 2012, as a creative ambition between two students at the University of Chester. Co-Founders Oliver Anwyl and Sam Potts pursued the idea of creating a company that would produce choreographically creative, dynamic and accessible dance works for audiences within the Chester region. The company's first micro-project 'Share Together' took form of an outdoor site specific work towards marking World Aids Day as part of events within the city. Moving forward from this project Anwyl & Potts presented work at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013 receiving acclaim from fellow artists and audience members at the festival. The company has since presented works at events and dance platforms nationwide which has included the company's own event Innovations Dance Platform. This event first opened in 2014 and is now an annual event in Chester. The company strives to create dance works and events which support the local dance-ecology in developing and broadening engagement with audiences. FiTA now operating its own education and participation programme 'Off The Ground' delivering workshops and experiences to both the education and community sectors.
