Buckfastleigh Open Air Pool

Buckfastleigh Open Air Pool is part of the Victoria Park Buckfastleigh charity which was founded in 1887. It was due to close in 2015 following years of neglect. A group of local volunteers campaigned to save it and took over control as trustees in April 2015. We raised £75,000 to fix and improve the pool and a further £220,000 to build a new skate park and adventure play area. The charity is now entirely manged by volunteers and employs a team of local lifeguards to keep everyone safe. We rely on grants and fundraising to keep us going!
