Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council delivers a wide range of services people living and working in the borough. The borough of Basingstoke and Deane covers an area of over 245 square miles within northern Hampshire with a population of approximately 172,9001 people. More than 60% of the population lives within the town of Basingstoke. Our main service responsibilities include rubbish collection, recycling, leisure, parks, environmental health, economic development, housing and planning.
