With two location in Bristol, Corn Street and Whiteladies Road, there's plenty of Ox love to spread though Bristol. A bastion of simple, top notch, British fare, at the Ox you'll find a menu packed with the choicest cuts of prime steak and tasty, meaty morsels. Our butcher likes to think that our steaks are the best in the city and when you've tasted one cooked in our charcoal oven we think you'll agree! The kitchen is helmed by Kiwi chef, Todd Francis, formerly or The Robin Hoods Retreat and The New Inn at Backwell. He's designed an exciting menu showcasing his talents and best utilising our charcoal fired Josper Oven. First courses will be made up of small plates, skewers & toasts, encouraging our guests to share. Mains are all about the steak with a good range of juicy cuts, all served with triple cooked chips & a choice of sauce. Some mouthwatering sharing dishes such as our 30oz Bone in Rib steak with accompaniments and several non-steak dishes including veggie offerings complete the selection. Desserts will be a simple affair with home made ice creams & sorbets, several delectable options for the sweet toothed and a British cheese board The majority of our meat is locally produced and supplied by our butcher, Nigel Buxton. That said we've tasted a lot of steak prior to opening this restaurant and we've found that some of the tenderest, tastiest beef comes from the other side of the Atlantic.
