Opening in the early 60’s the Ice Cream trade was very different to as we know it today, the range of products available were limited and the Ice Cream vendor was a much more common site on our streets, with children becoming excited at the sound of his chime, running to ask their parents for a few pennies to buy a treat. Here at Midland Super Cream we still keep this tradition alive and our vans still work the streets all year round playing our chimes making children and parents happy some 50 years later. The business was opened by Michele who had begun trading on a part-time basis in Stoke on Trent a few years earlier during time away from working as a miner. It was during this period that he realised he carried the Italian passion for Ice Cream and decided with his wife Josephine to move their young family to Brierley Hill in the West Midlands where they would buy a small dairy and Ice Cream business to create Midland Super Cream. During the next 5 decades Michele & Josephine have worked tirelessly to expand the business, keeping up with modern times and the ever changing tastes of the public. Long gone are the days when a ’99 or a choc-ice were our favourite ice cold treat. As Midland Super Cream has expanded and grown over the years so have Michele & Josephine’s family, with 3 of their sons now directors of the company, with grand children and other family members either working full time or helping out during peak periods we truly are a family who have the ability,...
