At present, our nation does not have a National Military Cemetery to honour the brave and courageous men and women of our Armed Forces. We believe that it is long overdue and with your help we hope to create a fitting final resting place to commemorate those who have given their lives in order to provide for the generations who precede them. This registered charity is a ‘not for profit’ organisation. Our core principle is to ensure that all funds received will be used appropriately and honorably, as befits the cause that we have embarked upon. Our founders are Patrick and Rosalind Eston; they have been married for over 32 years and have two sons. They came up with the idea of a National Cemetery on a visit to Arlington in the USA, which receives over 4 million visitors each year from people wishing to pay their respects to those who have paid the ultimate price for their country and their fellow man. Ideally, we are looking for a site in the region of 200-300 acres. It will be designed with dignity and sensitivity. It will be secure and properly maintained and over time, we hope to be able to include things such as a visitor and information centre, landscaped gardens including lawns, trees and shrubs, dignified monuments, a hall of honour with an electronic library and an eternal flame.
