Don Amott Senior found the company in 1963, with the philosophy of “Offer excellent quality at the lowest possible prices and above all, make the customers our friends!” Two years later, in 1965, Don Amott junior joined the business. 10 years later, Don took over from his father, and at this point the company quickly grew to become one of the UK’s leading leisure companies. In 2006, due to sporting commitments and other business responsibilities, Don Amott sold his interest in the company to Tony Weavers, who had been with the business since he left college in 1969. Tragically, Tony passed away in 2009. Following this blow to the company, Don Amott returned to oversee the restructure of the management team. The business operates with highly experienced members of staff, many of whom have been with the company for well over 25 years. The sales team alone have over 200 years’ experience between them. The 50 years that our business has been operating has seen many changes, but some things have stayed the same. Our work philosophy is still the same to this day, and we still make sure to stick to it!
