Relko’s Cleaning Division was formed in 1974 by Patrick and Maureen Newland from their home situated on Cadnam Close, West Midlands. They built up the company with sheer determination and a desire to deliver a first class service. After establishing the Cleaning Division they then looked to broaden the companies’ services further. They started the Masonry Restoration division as Patrick Newland had worked in the stone industry in previous years. Starting with façade cleaning, that soon developed into stone masonry services, concrete repairs, re-pointing and so on. Relko Restoration and Masonry is now the largest Independent Masonry Restoration Company in the Midlands and offers a complete range of Masonry Restoration Services. Due to the Cleaning and Masonry division's need for a workshop, and its spend on tools and plant in general, Relko Tool Hire and Repair was formed, and currently has two hire centres, one in Willenhall and one in Walsall. In 1997 Relko Fire and Flood Restoration was formed offering a complete range of Damage Restoration services, from the initial callout and clean up, to fitting the kitchen sink. It offers a 24hrs a day service, 365 days a year. Due to an overlap in Tool Hire and Personal Protective Equipment areas of the business, Relkoshop were formed offering a complete range of work/corporate wear and personal protective equipment.
