RJC Dance the leading Black dance organisation in the North empowering young people and adults through movement. Youth development and education is at the heart of our work and we are committed to vitality, active participation, creativity and renewal. We seek to inspire, nurture and develop the next generation of diverse artists working in partnership with national organisations to develop the diversity of Black British dance as a valued art form. Key areas: • Young people To develop and maximise the creative potential of young people by offering regular opportunities to dance and achieve. • Health and Well-being To be a key contributor to the health & well-being of our neighbourhood, city and nation through delivering innovative approaches to movement alongside provision of community dance initiatives and dance in education work. • Professional Development and Performance To support and develop Black British dance and dancers through professional development, performance activity & accredited programmes of work. • Organisation and Building Development To develop an organisation that is robust and responsive to the changing economic environment through dynamic leadership and committment to the Mandela Centre, Chapeltown Cultural Quarter.
