₭em is an artist-run project space for choreographic and performative practices. ₭em will host a programme engaged in researching embodiment, affect, new subjectivities and their stagings. ₭em was set up by Alex Baczynski-Jenkins and Marta Ziolek to foster various formats of research, production and presentation of choreography and performance. The project space will run a residency and public events program, including Romain Hamard, Ligia Lewis, Dragana Bulut, Andrew Hardwidge, Wojtek Kosma, Ian Kaler, Ashkan Sepahvand, Dareen Abbas and a long-term collaboration with Paweł Sakowicz. ********************************************************** ₭em jest niezależną przestrzenią projektową zorientowaną na nowe metody i strategie choreografii i performansu. Projekt proponuje program regularnych spotkań wokół współczesnej podmiotowości i cielesności oraz ich inscenizacji. ₭em powstało z inicjatywy choreografów Alexa Baczyńskiego-Jenkinsa i Marty Ziółek. ₭em zamierza kwestionować warunki produkcji, dystrybucji, oglądania i dyskusji wokół prac choreograficznych i performatywnych. Program zakłada rezydencje artystyczne i prezentacje takich artystów jak Romain Hamard, (Francja), Ligia Lewis (Dominikana/USA), Dragana Bulut (Serbia), Andrew Hardwidge (Wielka Brytania), Wojtek Kosma (Polska), Ian Kaler (Austria), Ashkan Sepahvand (Iran/USA), Dareen Abbas (Syria) oraz regularną współpracę z Pawłem Sakowiczem.
