Ogólne informacje
Art NEW media Gallery established in 2000 is one of the best galleries in Poland (since 2005 it has been among the top ten galleries in the Polityka weekly ranking). Until June 2011 the gallery was seated in Krakowskie Przedmieście Street, where over 100 artistic events took place, including exhibitions, performances, meetings with artists, movie screenings, and theatrical shows. The Art NEW media Gallery was, among others, the organiser of the last exhibition of Roman Opałka’s works in Warsaw in 2009. And it was during the Art NEW media Gallery vernissage, when the Minister of Culture, Mr Bogdan Zdrojewski awarded Roman Opałka with the Gloria Artis Golden Medal. The gallery presents, among others, works from painters considered the classics of the post-war Polish art, such as Stefan Gierowski, Jacek Sempoliński, Jerzy Nowosielski, Jan Tarasin, Henryk Stażewski, Jan Młodożeniec. Moreover, it cooperates with the middle-aged generation artists, such as Włodzimierz Pawlak, Leon Tarasewicz or Paweł Susid, as well as the representatives of the so-called Second Avant-Garde of the nineteen seventies, whose works are very trendy these days, utilising mostly photography, film, and performance art, e.g. Natalia Lach-Lachowicz, Paweł Kwiek, Przemysław Kwiek, Andrzej Lachowicz or Krzysztof Zarębski. The gallery also regularly promotes young Polish artists. In July 2011 the Art NEW media Gallery was moved to 28 Wilcza Street, apartment 6, Warsaw *** Powstała w 2000 roku Galeria Art NEW...
