Manchester Buddhist Centre has been teach­ing Buddhism and med­it­a­tion in Manchester since 1977, and from our cur­rent loc­a­tion in the North­ern Quarter since 1996 Manchester Buddhist Centre is bring­ing an ancient tra­di­tion alive in the mod­ern world as part of the Tri­r­atna Buddhist Com­munity (formerly Friends of the West­ern Buddhist Order) We have taught med­it­a­tion and Buddhism to thou­sands of people from Greater Manchester and bey­ond. We are well known for our friendly and informal style of teach­ing, explor­ing what Buddhism can teach us in the mod­ern west The Centre also houses Body­wise, Breath­works and Earth Cafe, provid­ing ser­vices that feed body and mind
