Delicious anticipation filled the air at Saturday’s bonfire in Burley-in-Wharfedale, when a fundraising appeal for a new Scout and Guide hut was launched. Thousands came to relish homemade fare and fireworks at the event organized by the local Scout and Guide Association, which has just received planning permission to build a new HQ at its home on Peel Place.
