Based in the heart of Birmingham, we support substance misusers and families with complex needs in achieving their recovery, providing a holistic approach working to improve the health and wellbeing of substance misusers and their families. We work with diverse communities to overcome the root causes of addiction and help to reduce health inequalities. PWR takes a whole person approach encouraging individuals and their families to make healthier choices to improve their physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Our service will: •support substance misusers and families with complex needs in achieving their recovery •provide peer support & Advocacy service •provide mentors for young people with complex needs •create an open Forum to address any concerns and contribute to the development of the treatment system •signpost into local services and treatment providers •openly discuss current community issues and trends •provide a research platform to investigate current needs, trends and issues •develop community projects to improve the community as a whole and provide a platform for service users to learn new skills and reintegrate into the community •create links into employment and health services •working in partnership within the criminal justice system to reduce crime.
