Ogólne informacje
Warren House is a 19th Century privately owned manor house which is perfect for meetings, conferences, afternoon tea's, private events and weddings. The house was built in 1865 by Hugh Hammersley when he purchased 16 acres of land from the Duke of Cambridge. Sometime in the 1870's he also purchased the neighboring Coombe Nursery which had been owned by Vietch & Sons. This land was famous for its many rare specimens of flowering trees, shrubs and it's Japanese Watergardens. This unique garden is thought to be the oldest Japanese garden in existense in the British Isles. Today the Japanese garden forms part of the grounds of the neighboring Watergardens development. After Hugh Hammersley's death in 1880, Warren House stood empty until 1884, when it was purchased by George Grenfell Glyn and it changed hands several times until General Sir Arthur Paget.
