Winding Wheel The building that is now the Winding Wheel was once a thriving cinema originally named The Picture House and built in 1923 to the design of Sheffield architect Harold J Shepherd. In 1930 the building was extended, and a large Ballroom with sprung dance floor was added and the proscenium arch was lavishly redesigned.
