Allan Chester, a Canadian-born entrepreneur, recognised that expats were embracing technology to keep in touch; using tools such as email and Skype to communicate across international borders. They still relied however, on friends and family back in the UK to receive and forward their letters and parcels. Post and postal addresses were physical barriers that were affecting individuals and businesses across the globe.
