We're an independent cinema run by and for Broadstairs locals and Thanet in general. We're building on a great history of this lovely Grade II listed cinema. It was built to house the armoury collection of the er... King's physician's son, then it became an avant-garde (!) puppet theatre, before finally being converted into a cinema with stalls and a balcony in the 1960s. Simon and Corinna, Broadstairs residents, have spent their working lives in the film business and have just taken over the cinema in April 2016 from Colin Jay and Sean Mills. We're aiming to build on Colin and Sean's great run and show a wider range of films than ever before, with quality mainstream, independent and world cinema in a friendly comfortable cinema a few feet from the sandy beaches of Viking Bay in Broadstairs. Tickets are £6 or £5 concessions (Under 14, Over 60, student and unemployed). We're open every day and will soon generally be showing 2 different films each night so you'll have a bit more choice and also can make a night of it eating out before or after seeing a film.
