Ogólne informacje
The Tollemache Family have been the guardian of Helmingham since 1487. The Hall was completed in 1510, although the garden moat predates the house and is probably of Saxon origin. Lady Tollemache, a Chelsea Gold Medallist, has worked tirelessly to restore the gardens at Helmingham to glory over the last 20 years. Today, the gardens are open to visitors who can relax and unwind in the beautiful rose, knot, herb, wild and kitchen gardens all set in a 400 acre deer park. Helmingham hosts a number of exciting events each year including Suffolk Dog Day, The Festival of Classic & Sports Cars, The Helmingham Food & Drink Festival and two Plant Heritage Plant Fairs. 2011 brings for the first time ever weddings and Cookery Experience Days with Emma Crowhurst.
