Meccanotecnica's ASTER brand of book sewing machines is well known in all five continents as state-of- the- art technology as well as guarantee of reliability and a high level of performance. Since the early 2000s, Meccanotecnica has been approaching the graphic arts industry as supplier of highly automated machines and systems for thread sewn book finishing within the digital production printing. Today Meccanotecnica has the largest number of sewing machines sold, including its gathering and sewing lines. The whole Meccanotecnica group employs about 200 people in five manufacturing sites and has its own branch offices throughout Europe, the North America and Asia, as well as a global network of representatives.
