People, diverse cultures, and the natural world are recurring themes in my art. While realistic in nature, my work represents my interpretation of what I see. Always present is my love of detail: objects, buildings, settings, and individuals that touch and move me. I portray the essence of my surroundings primarily in pen and ink drawings. In a century full of colour and technology, my hand-drawn black and white work stands apart. On occasion, however, colour enters into my work in the form of watercolours.
