Back in 1996, a community group took over derelict land left by the clearance of homes for a bypass that never happened. That group became Heeley Development Trust and that space is now Heeley People’s Park. Today, it’s just one of the projects we’re proud to call our own. For 21 years now, Heeley Trust has been working to improve public spaces, secure buildings and other assets for the community and deliver all kinds of projects for the people who live here and beyond. You might be familiar with Recycle Bikes, or Sum Studios, or Sheffield Online. Perhaps you’ve enjoyed the Heeley or Big Boulder festivals. They are all things that make living here good, and they might not have happened without us. And they definitely wouldn’t have happened without our amazing local volunteers! We are Heeley Trust!
