LINKnet Mentoring supports people from minority-ethnic communities in Edinburgh and surrounding areas to improve their English, find a job, or continue their education. LINKnet provides a range of services, based around one-to-one mentoring. A mentor works one-to-one with an individual — a mentee — to help them achieve their goals. Mentees who have recently arrived in the UK can also learn from their mentor about life in Edinburgh. LINKnet matches each mentee personally to a mentor who can provide the support they need. LINKnet also provides a drop-in service, voluntary work placements, recruitment consultancy, IT training, English lessons, and, through Jump In!, cultural inclusion events and activities.
