Tang Restaurant has been established in Preston since 2008, serving the most authentic “real” Chinese Dim Sum, Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine to the local and discerning Chinese student communities of Preston and Lancaster. Tang Restaurant has earned an enviable reputation for offering the most delectable Chinese food, the highest standards of service, and fabulous karaoke function rooms to dine in and party until late. Dim Sum The literal translation of “Dim Sum” is “touch from the heart”. These are small portions of different delicacies made intricately for their distinct variety of flavours and textures. Many recipes have been passed down thousands of years but today’s modern chefs have adapted recipes to make new and exciting versions with the inclusion of new ingredients, and/or new representations. All our Dim Sum is made in-house by our highly skilled Dim Sum chefs, providing Tang with fresh handmade Dim Sum varieties. Cantonese Cuisine Cantonese cuisine, as the name states, comes from the Chinese province of Canton, now more commonly known as Guangdong. This province is in the south of China where the weather and climate is warm, and ingredients can be grown and farmed easily and abundantly, producing the widest varieties of dishes with different flavours, colours, textures, fragrances and sauces.
