Longton, Lancashire. SERVICES PROVIDED AT THE SURGERY Minor Operations Dr Loudonsack and Dr Cepeda-Lucas will perform minor operations. Examples of procedures include removal of cysts, moles, skin lumps, toenails and cautery and muscle injections. The doctor will need to discuss the relevant procedure with you before carrying out the minor operation in the appropriate clinic. Anti-coagulant Near Patient Testing – available to patients from other practices. If you are prescribed Warfarin we offer a blood testing and dosing service at the practice. Please inform reception to arrange an appointment and register your details. Maternity Services The doctors provide full antenatal and postnatal care. The community midwife holds her own clinic at Longton Health Centre on Monday morning and appointments can be made up to 4 weeks in advance. Post-natal (6 week) checks are carried out by the GP and appointments are made during normal surgery time up to 2 weeks in advance. Community Child Health Clinic Wednesdays - 11am to 1pm. The practice provides a full child health service for all locally registered children up to the age of 5 years. Immunisation and developmental checks are carried out in conjunction with the health visitors linked to the practice. They are in attendance to give help, advice and support on a weekly basis.
