T P Wilkins & Son Ltd, ( Wilkins Roofing) was formed by my father, Terry Wilkins in 1972. The business back then, mainly concentrated on farm and Industrial sheeting, with a small percentage of flat felt roofing. I joined the company as an apprentice in 1987 and over the next few years, concentrated gaining skills on the flat roof side of the business. My father gradually gave me more responsibility, until around 1995 when the company Incorporated and I became a director. Terry then decided to take more of a back seat and left the responsibilities of quoting and winning work to me. The company offers a comprehensive specialist flat roofing service, but also carries out installation of pitched roofing, rainwater goods and all associated roofing repairs. Since my father retired in 2005, my wife Sarah has joined the company and looks after the administration and advertising. At present we have myself as a working Managing Director, Sarah at the office and Alistair and Drew are our two employees. We have successfully carried out roofing contracts on Lindsey Oil, Blue Star Fibres, DFDS, Corus (TATA), Dunlop, Centrica and Lincs Drainage Board to name a few.
