The Street

The Street has been developed by Coast & Vale Community Action, in partnership with North Yorkshire County Council’s Youth Support Service. Coast & Vale Community Action is a charity operating within the Borough of Scarborough. Coast & Vale Community Action deliver exciting community projects, run community buildings and support hundreds of voluntary and community groups. Each week hundreds of people visit The Street for training, sports, work, arts… or simply a place to socialise. The Street is the culmination of a sustained effort among young people, families and professionals in Scarborough to fulfil their aspirations for dedicated community facilities close to the town centre, these include: • Climbing wall • Cafe • Recording studio • Art studio • Training rooms • Office suites • Community hall • Meeting and conference space • Workspace • Dance studios
