Collette was born in Hull in 1972. She attended Humberside University Art School before moving to Birmingham in 1992 to study BA (Hons) in Jewellery. After graduating in1995 she set up a studio workshop in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter where she still produces her jewellery today. Her work represents two decades of constant evolution. Collette is a forward thinking designer maker, never afraid & thoroughly excited by learning. While embracing some of the most cutting edge technology, she remains highly dedicated to harnessing the fine skills of the Goldsmiths craft. This combination gives added direction & new possibilities to the development of the product range. Extensive world travel has served as a springboard for new ideas & inspiration. Be it culture, fashion, lifestyle or the landscape, she brings a little back from each adventure. This adds to a dynamic fusion. The final ingredient of influence is Human emotion. ‘How would this make me feel?’.... ‘who would wear this?’....’where would it be worn?’ are constant questions when developing new designs. In short, Collette Waudby wants those who wear it to feel the best they can feel, the most individual, elegant and sophisticated person in the room.
