We are an independent wine education company offering wine tastings and courses, including WSET, in venues in Leeds, York, Harrogate and Sheffield. We are not tied to any wine merchant or retailer and offer impartial advice, tasting only wines that we believe are good examples of their type. Come and join us at our beautiful bespoke wine school tasting room and office in our Leeds venue, Ham & Friends on Merrion St. We learn about wine by concentrating on the flavours and aromas of each example. We look at the wine’s taste profile and seek to understand and explain how the characteristics of the grape variety can be influenced by the climate and local winemaking styles. As we do not sell wine we can advise where to buy the best wines locally and at the best prices.
