The Cheshire Cheese Inn Informacje o firmie
Ogólne informacje
Situated in the heart of the Peak District, the 16th Century Inn owes its name to being an overnight stopping point on the old salt carrying route from Cheshire across the Pennines to Yorkshire. Payment for lodging at the Inn was actually made in Cheese – the original cheese hooks can still be seen in the lower room. Today it retains a relaxed unspoilt, olde worlde atmosphere with open fires, traditionally brewed hand pulled beer and a reputation for good wholesome food. The Inn is but a short distance from Castleton and its famous caverns, the wild moorland of Kinder Scout, and the tranquil beauty of the Ladybower and Derwent reservoirs. It is about half a mile from the centre of Hope Village on the Edale Road (turning off the Sheffield to Castleton Road opposite Hope Church). It is a 25 minute drive from Sheffield and around 30 – 35 minutes from Stockport and Manchester.
